The LINDA HORN COLLECTION of antique fireplace accessories are 19th Century
French and English antique pieces. The inventory includes antique andirons, chenets
or firedogs. There are a pair of English brass andirons with acanthus leaf decorated
columns on animal paw feet and a pair of faceted nozzle design brass andirons with
scrolled legs and ball feet. From 19th Century France, there is a steel fireplace fender
shaped as two intertwining snakes and a pair Neo-Greco brass column chenets on
lion paw feet. In addition: there is an unique oval shaped cast iron log basket; a
Victorian brass coal box with filigree overlay on the cover and ornamental corners;
and a brass hod or harvesting basket that can store small logs.
